人們早在春秋戰國時代以前,就已經發現如何利用太陽能。在史書中也曾經記載「司垣氏掌水夫燧,取火於日」和「陽燧見日,則燃而為火」。根據考證,在這當中的「夫燧」和「陽燧」,就是類似凹面鏡的聚光集熱裝置。
